I will blog more about this soon but had to put it up as soon as I saw it.  This is about Agile development at Spotify.  I’ve got a link here to part 1 (of 2) but once you see the first part it gives you a link to the second.  Maybe you’ve seen this before but I encourage you to check it out if not.  It’s all about the culture at a company trying to balance autonomy with alignment, mission with innovation, and productivity with fun – and the discovery that these are not necessarily opposites.  As I said I’ll share more on this soon but wanted to post the link right away.

Spotify engineering culture (part 1)

Not surprisingly, one thing I like about this is how they describe this as a journey they are on to find more and better ways to flesh out these goals.  The theory is awesome but in practice the reality is that in truth it’s not that simple.
