My company has been using an Agile approach to software development for over 8 years. We use a Scrum approach on our development teams. But here’s the thing: we don’t do everything that Agile Scrum is supposed to involve according to the experts. We’ve adapted the approach to fit our culture; specifically we have decided not to have ‘scrum masters’ on the teams.
My question is this: are we missing something? I’m going to some product owner training from Scrum Alliance this week and talking with other product owners and product managers at my company, but I’d love to hear thoughts from other people as well. Comment below, tell me what I’m doing wrong or let me know why you think we ought to adapt Scrum in any ways we see fit.
What are the things that you’ve adapted? Why have you decided not to have Scrum Master?
This requires a longer answer so stay tuned. Thanks
Looking forward to it.
